PGL Bawdsey Manor

Our incredible Year Six residential

We have now left Bawdsey Manor and are embarking on the 2hr journey home following three days of raft building, jumping from great heights, running around, watching the sunset over the beach and trying archery. The pupils have had a great time. They’ve been well fed and slept well last night but more importantly than that they ALL have an achievement to celebrate: a fear they have overcome. Be it heights, water, insects or just being away from home each child has proved they are braver than they thought they were 72 hours a go. They have been told to remember that next time they face a challenging or intimidating situation in the future, such as starting a new school. At the end of the day, that is what residentials are all about: challenging yourself whilst gaining independence.
