23/24 - Spring 2 - Week 3

Dear parents and carers,

Science week

To celebrate National Science Week, pupils have been able to benefit from a range of different workshops from Silly Science workshops and  online live lessons to VR headsets.

iRockSchool concert

This exciting part of our peripatetic music offer provides pupils with the opportunity to learn an instrument whilst performing in a rock band.  We have about three groups currently learning, and today they held their first concert during our celebration assembly.  With songs such as Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes.  Not only did this showcase their skills but developed their confidence and provided them with a platform to perform to an audience - one of our 11 engaging experiences.

Build and Talk

Once again, some of our pupils had the opportunity to work with Lego to develop their understanding of online safety - see below for more detail.

I pray you all have a wonderful weekend.

This week, 'Key Player' by Kelly Yang has been suggested. This is a fun and interesting book about a young girl who loves football. Her teacher sets her a target. The story follows Mia overcoming challenges to meet the target.

I am currently halfway through the book, and I am really enjoying it.
