Frankie Bridge inspires pupils at William Ford
Today we were delighted to welcome Frankie Bridge to William Ford C of E Junior School. Frankie, known for her success in The Saturdays, S Club Juniors, BBC Strictly Come Dancing, and as a presenter and panellist, joined us for a very special day.
Frankie first took to our school radio station, where pupils interviewed her about her career. They asked thoughtful questions about how she got started, her experiences in music and television, and what helped her succeed.
She then joined our Collective Worship, which focussed on three important themes:
-
Believing in yourself, even if others don’t always believe in you
-
Working hard and never giving up
-
Being kind to everyone, because success depends on how we treat others
Frankie’s reflections linked closely with the Bible verses:
-
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial” (James 1:12)
-
“Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 6:31)
Finally, pupils were able to see filming take place in school as part of our partnership with Talamo Dyslexic Screener. We are proud to be working with Talamo to screen all new pupils for dyslexia and dyscalculia, ensuring the right support is in place from the very beginning.
It was a truly inspiring day, reminding all of us to work diligently, act generously, and live at peace with everyone.
