Collective worship - Thursday 13th November 2025
At William Ford, all children learn a new Makaton sign each week during Collective Worship. We do this because a number of our pupils, particularly in our Lighthouse provision, communicate through Makaton. We want to ensure that communication is never a barrier to any child's experience at William Ford.
As a special treat today, our school choir, who will soon be performing at the 2022 Young Voices event, performed the song A Thousand Years using Makaton. It was a very special moment for the whole school. Every pupil was completely engaged, watching in silence, and you could hear a pin drop.
