Celebrating Easter at William Ford
As part of William Ford's 11 Engaging Experiences, one of our key opportunities is for pupils to perform to a live audience. Today, it was Year 4's turn, and they certainly rose to the occasion.
Despite the weather having other ideas, our annual Easter celebration moved indoors to the school hall, where the whole school gathered for a truly joyful and meaningful event. And if anything, the warmth inside more than made up for what was missing outside.
The celebration was a wonderful reminder of what Easter is really about. The whole of Year 4 retold the Easter story with real heart and purpose, sharing the message of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and rising again in victory over sin and death. It was a moment of genuine reflection and faith for our whole school community.
Our school choir performed several songs beautifully, and our school dance group brought their usual energy and flair to the celebration. The talent on display was a real credit to every pupil involved.
The Easter bonnet parade was, as always, a highlight. The creativity and craftsmanship on show made the judges' task a genuinely difficult one, and congratulations go to all who took part, especially our first, second and third place winners.
We also held our annual staff Easter egg raffle, with four lucky members of staff going home considerably happier than they arrived.
A huge thank you to the parents who came along to support the event. Your presence means a great deal. Thank you also to every member of staff involved in organising such a special occasion.
From all of us at William Ford, we wish our whole community a blessed and happy Easter.
