"Keep asking questions" — a visit from James Green, Southend University Hospital
This week we were delighted to welcome James Green, Head of Radiotherapy and Consultant Clinical Scientist at Southend University Hospital. James spoke to our children about his work pioneering new cancer treatments using radiotherapy, research that improves the lives of tens of thousands of patients.
James talked honestly about his own dyslexia and his journey through school, his love of science, and his Christian faith, including how he came to believe that faith and science don't have to be in conflict. It was an inspiring, honest and thought-provoking morning.
His parting message to our pupils: keep asking questions. Don't let your barriers get in the way.
