Today we were delighted to welcome Margaret Mullane MP, Member of Parliament for Dagenham and Rainham, to William Ford C of E Junior School as part of our careers programme.

Margaret began the visit by joining our pupil-run radio station, where pupils interviewed her about politics, current events and her role representing the local community.

In assembly she spoke about her journey into politics, growing up locally and wanting to serve the community she knows so well. Pupils were fascinated to learn how people can build careers that influence decisions affecting millions of people.

Thank you to Margaret for giving her time to inspire our pupils and help them learn more about careers in public service and politics.
