On Tuesday 9th June, our Year 6 children took part in the Junior Citizenship Scheme (JCS) visit in Romford. This interactive programme is designed to help pupils prepare for their transition to secondary school by developing important safety awareness and life skills. Through a series of engaging workshops and real-life scenarios, the children learned how to make safe and responsible decisions as they become more independent.

During the visit, pupils explored a range of important topics, including bus safety, train safety and bike safety. They also took part in informative sessions about the dangers of carrying knives and the laws surrounding knife crime. In addition, the children learned about environmental responsibility by discovering what can and cannot be safely flushed down toilets and how unsuitable items can cause problems within the sewer system. The day was both educational and enjoyable, providing valuable knowledge that will help our pupils stay safe and make informed choices in their everyday lives.
