Gregory and Liyanah from 4W write about Columbia Day

Today has been a great day because it has been Colombia Day at William Ford and we could wear red, yellow and blue. We really liked the song that we learnt in assembly (you can learn it too - see below!) We liked it especially because it is in Spanish and the children in Colombia sing it too.  We also enjoyed writing an acrostic poem about Columbia and tasted plantain chips, which were very tasty and crunchy just like crisps.  We have also learnt that the children that we sponsor in Colombia do not have as many opportunities as children in the UK and by supporting the charity we are helping to provide more opportunities for them in their lives.
