On the 8^th of May 2025, we marked the 80^th anniversary of VE Day. Year 5 all met a 95 -year-old lady named Margaret who told us about her experiences during World War 2. She told us stories about her evacuation at the age of nine to Somerset , how she felt and what she did. She also spoke to us about VE Day and how her mother took their piano into the street to play so that everyone could be entertained and sing songs at their street party.  We  saw some pictures of her during her evacuation and in her uniform doing her army training. We all enjoyed Margaret's visit and asked her lots of questions about evacuation and VE Day. We even interviewed her on William Ford Radio!
