Anderton Tiger Radio returns to train our new school DJs

At William Ford we are very proud to be in our third year of running our school radio station, which broadcasts every day at the beginning of school, during break and lunch times, and again at the end of the day. The station has quickly become an exciting part of school life, giving pupils the chance to develop their confidence, communication skills, and creativity.

This week we were delighted to welcome back Russell Prue from Anderton Tiger Radio, who worked with our newest group of DJs. Russell trained them not only in using more of the technical features of the station, but also in how to hold a suitable and engaging on-air conversation.

As part of the training, pupils prepared for the launch of our brand-new Reflection Show, which will be broadcast at the end of the school day. This special feature will recap what has taken place in Collective Worship, giving the whole community – including parents – the opportunity to reflect together.

A huge thank you goes to Russell Prue for sharing his expertise once again. We now look forward to hearing our new DJs in action, supported by Mr Lazarus and Mr Wakeford, who will guide them as they train the next wave of William Ford broadcasters.
