Children in Need Day

A few of our Pudseys at William Ford!

Today was a wonderful celebration of kindness, colour, and community spirit at William Ford Church of England Junior School as we marked Children in Need Day. It was fantastic to see so many of our pupils supporting this important national charity by donating to come in non-school uniform. Even better was the sea of yellow across the school, with a huge number of children – and quite a few staff – proudly dressed as Pudsey for the occasion.

The hall was full of energy and excitement as children arrived in spotty outfits, Pudsey hoodies, themed onesies, headbands, and bright yellow tops. The photo above captures just a fraction of the enthusiasm shown across the school today.

As a community, we take great pride in supporting others. While our pupils learn the importance of helping those in our local area, days like today also remind us of the value of reaching out further afield. Children in Need provides vital support to organisations, families, and children across the country, and we are proud to play a small part in contributing to their work.

Thank you to every child who took part and every family who donated. Your generosity helps to make a real difference, and it was heart-warming to see our pupils showing compassion and joy throughout the day.

Well done, William Ford – together, we continue to show what it means to care.
