Year Six residential
Our recent Year 6 residential trip to Trewern was more than just an adventure, it was an opportunity for growth, independence, and lifelong memories. Away from home, children learnt to take responsibility for themselves: organising belongings, managing time, and problem-solving. These experiences help them become successful and empowered to make a difference, all part of our school vision.
Spending time with friends and working together in a new environment strengthened relationships and built trust. Shared challenges like climbing, caving, and gorge walking encouraged teamwork and resilience, helping children feel fulfilled and supported by the hope and example of God.
We were so proud of every child who stepped outside their comfort zone. Overcoming fears and achieving personal goals saw confidence soar, reflecting our commitment to helping pupils grow in strength and character.
Not least, fresh air, physical activity, and time away from screens contributed to mental and physical wellbeing, preparing children for life beyond the classroom.
This trip truly embodied our vision: Supporting pupils to be successful, healthy, fulfilled and empowered to make a difference – strengthened by the hope and example of God.
Thank you for supporting this valuable experience. Together, we are helping our children learn, grow, and thrive.
