Today is World Book Day in the UK and William Ford started the celebration with a whole school assembly where we discussed the importance of reading and also how much fun it can be.  Lots of pupils dressed up as well as adults.  We had minions, Wallys, princesses, Mary Poppins, superheroes and much more.  In class, pupils participated in a quiz about books where they guessed the titles of books from emojis and other clues. Pupils also designed a sports kit linked to their favourite book character.  Your child will come home today with their World Book Day voucher that can be used to purchase a special £1 book or to put towards another book of their choice.  Please see the back of the voucher for further details. William Ford Junior School - World Book Day 2026
