Year 6 enjoyed a trip to court!
As part of their learning about the justice system and citizenship, Year 6 visited the Royal Courts of Justice on Friday 10th July 2026, where they took part in an engaging mock trial based on a case of cyberbullying. Every child played an important role in the courtroom, including judges, defence solicitors, prosecution barristers, witnesses and jurors, gaining a real insight into how the legal system works. The children also spoke with members of the court about their careers and responsibilities, helping them to understand the importance of fairness, justice and the rule of law. This memorable experience supported our Rights Respecting School values by promoting Article 19 (the right to be protected from all forms of violence, including bullying), and Article 29 (education should develop children's talents, respect for human rights and prepare them for responsible life in a free society). The visit inspired the children to think critically about online behaviour, responsibility and the importance of justice in protecting everyone's rights.
