As part of their topic: The Romans, Year 4 went to visit Colchester Castle this week, to learn more about the Romans in Britain. Pupils explored the museum, including the Castle itself and the underground vaults. Pupils learnt about the original settlement, the temple of Claudius, as well as taking part in a workshop, where they built their own round house and traditional Roman Villa. The pupils enjoyed a tour of the underground, trying on various clothes and armoury, as well as enjoying the surroundings of the Castle! A great day out!
