Geography Field Trip

This week Year five pupils write about their trip to Beam Park

We had a fantastic time on our geography field trip that was part of our project where we were flood risk consultants.  We went to Beam Park to observe and take measurements from the river there.  We looked at how fast it flowed by putting lolly sticks in the water - it was so funny as the ducks kept taking the lolly sticks!  We also measured the depth and found that the further away from the bank the deeper it got.
