Skeletons in Year 3 Science

This week Year Three have learnt about vertebrates and invertebrates.

We have learnt about animals that have skeletons and backbones inside their bodies and that they are called vertebrates.  Some of these are cats, snakes and fish.  We have also learnt about animals that do not have a skeleton inside their bodies and these are called invertebrates.  Some of these have an exoskeleton, like spiders and crabs, and some don't have any skeleton, like worms and jellyfish.
