Christingle Time!

Abigail and Kaiden in 3M write about a special RE lesson the  whole of year three had this week.

We had a really interesting and fun lesson when we made christingle oranges. We learnt that Christians believe that the orange represents the world, the red ribbon is Jesus's blood and the sweets are for all of the wonderful things that God made. It was so much fun, and we got to light the candle at home.  The light is to show that Jesus is the light of the world and shines bright. Abigail: "I really enjoyed it as I am a Christian and it has made me understand more about Jesus and God."  Kaiden "I am a Muslim but enjoyed learning about other religions and really enjoyed the creative way we learnt about this. It's made me want to make more things like this."
