Elections have taken place across the school tas the children experience democracy first hand by electing their representatives for the school, learning and worship councils. I am staggered by the number of children who have put themselves forward for election and many staff members have commented on the quality of the manifestos that the candidates prepared in their own time. Not only have these children shown great courage in presenting speeches they have prepared at home but they are all willing to serve the school by ensuring their class’ voices are heard across be it about our curriculum, collective worship, our eco work along with a range of other issues that are important to the students.
